| Owned By Ferret |
| My husband and I are owned by four ferrets. One, Thunder, who is only 10 months old, we knew was deaf. We took him to the vet this week as his eyes look cloudy, and he's not even a year old. The vet said he has juvinile cataracts and will eventually go blind. We want and love him just the same, he is one of our kids. I taught him hand signals since he was deaf, but now need to teach him another method since he'll be blind. Do any of you have experience with a deaf/blind (all in one) ferret? Can you email me as I'd love to discuss some things. We've owned ferrets for over 10 years, so I'm not new to them. I just want to learn new things to help my Thunder, so that in an emergency he'll be able to come to me. He does know the lay out of their toy room, so I wont move anything as he knows exactly where things are. Thank you in advance for any stories you can share with me/and experience on deaf AND blind ferrets. |
