Hi, I am urgently needing some advice. I am wanting to have a dog I love Huskies, Malamutes but I know they are not the best pet for home life but think they are beautiful and really had my heart set on this kind of dog. I am needing a dog that will be protective or me and the house as I will be living alone the dog would basically be part of the household and family pleaser can I have some advice on what breed would be best. I don't really like small dogs.......

I love huskys and malamutes as well. When I looked into getting a dog, I researched those breeds.
Are you planning on him being a house dog? Because I have some friends that have a husky and some cousins that have a malamute--- they say that they are a big mess because of their hair shedding. That is one thing that made me not want to get one, another thing, is they are kind of stubburn, they will learn and do when they want... they also like to dig. So if you love your yard they could possibley tear it up.
They are beautiful dogs though--- I really wanted to get one, but I ended up getting a black lab. He is so good, good in the house, good outside, and good with people. I have really enjoyed him. Black labs are great family pets, very easy to train, and they just give you so much love.
I hope that helps- its a hard decision picking out the perfect dog. But whatever dog you get, I am sure with the right kind of attention and training he will be perfect
