Wow--how cool-!
A hawk has been perched in the tops of a couple of my trees for two
days; he has used several calls, culminating in a very plantiff sound as
his parent approaches with some food. I can't find my bird guide! It
may be a kestrel [sp]. Very noble and pretty bird.
I've been videotaping the feedings. Makes me appreciate the nature
photographers out there. If I can figure out how to download to this
#$%^& computer, I may post a pic or two in the Yahoo pictures.
Funny--the yard has been squirrel-free for two days, and the usual
annoying jays are noticeably absent, giving the cat a break from the
dive-bombing-!
I hope the hawk's okay--he seems well-shaped and healthy, exercising his
wings a lot.
Any hawk fanciers in this NG-? I know nearly nothing about 'em--

Try over at rec.birds as they are focused on wild birds.
