I was wondering if anybody knew of a veterinarian who deals with birds
only in the south Florida area. Or if there is a way of finding one
through some directory or what not. I have an African Grey and would
like to have him examined from time to time to make sure everything is
ok.

Backos Bird Clinic in Deerfield Beach, Florida where he continues to practice
exclusively Avian Veterinary Medicine. (954) 427-0777
Dr. Backos worked as pathologist for Maryland Department of Agriculture in
1980. During the six years tenure, he became well versed in microbiology. In
1986 he moved to Florida to pursue a career in the private sector as an Avian
Veterinarian where he was Board Certified in Avian Practice in 1995.

If you are in the Miami area Dr Harris at the Avian and Exotics Clinc is one
of the best in the country.
