It was about three years ago when I saw an Eclectus for sale. Called,
got a bit of information and went out to see him. Ironically the owner
lived across the street from a friend. It was a beautiful male which
she was asking $600 along with the cage. The only problem was his
chest was completely plucked along with his back. Seems that he had
done all the plucking when she left him in a pet store in an attempt
to sell him. It seems that she was selling her faithful thirteen year
companion, that she hand raised as a chick, because was moving in with
her boyfriend. For a number of other reasons I didn't buy Birdie.
After 8 or nine months she was so desperate she sold the bird to a
person in Philadelphia. Well I was visiting my friend last night and
guess who was back home after less than a year? That's why when it
comes down to parrot or (insert name) one should keep the parrot.
