I got two new budgies yesterday.I brought them home and put them in their
cage. I know they are quiet at first but neither of them has moved much and
the seed pot shows no sign of being distrubed. I am not sure what to do.

Give them time, they have just been through a stressfull experience moving
away from what they know to a new place. Talk quietly to them, it may take a
few days before they settle down

Dear Wendy.
This is comman, they have to get used to new surroundings.
I suggest you put some of the bird seed on the floor of the cage. They
will watch you do this, and being curious will eventually fly down to
explore. Put a millet spray in too. They just love this. Splash them
with water from their water feeder. How young are they? Be calm and
quiet around them, speak softly so they get the idea you would not hurt
them. It takes time. Enjoy your new friends
