Hello all,
I've just received a lovely european goldfinch as present. However I dont
know his/her gender. I am an experienced canary breeder but I dont have
sufficent info or experience on goldfinches. As far as my research says it
is a southern european golfinch with an orange toned red mask on its face.
However I have hard time identifying its gender. Can anyone tell me how to
identify a "European Goldfinch"'s gender?
Thanks in advance.

The red mask extends behind the eye on a male and on a female the red stops
before or through the eye.
