New young Canary making 'clicking' noise sometimes. Please help ! - CLICK HERE for the Pet Manual Forum Home Page
RG
Hello,

We just bought a Canary. Sometimes when you go near it, a clicking sound is
made by the Canary without the beak moving. I've read how respiratory mites
could cause this when the Canary breathes. This does not happen all the
time. Do Canary's do this clicking on their own? I am worried since I am
new to bird ownership. Please help me.

Best regards,

RG

It could be mites, I would take it to your vets. If it is mite they are
easilly killed with ivermec.
