Chade
Hello all,

I know that the pair are usually kept together while the hen lays, but if the
cock was removed after mating how long would the hen be able to lay fertile eggs
for?

Thanks,

Chade.

Hen canaries have been known to lay fertile eggs a month after mating. It is
common practice with many breeders to remove the cock while the hen is
incubating and rearing. This way a good exhibition cock can be mated with
half a dozen hens at a time.
