Hi!
I'm glad to have found this newsgroup. I love reading all of the posts
about your ferrets. I've found lots of useful information that I have
learned from and read many funny stories that I can relate to.
I have 4 ferrets, 2 boys and 2 girls. Our first is a ferret that we bought
from a pet store (a Marshall Farms ferret). Her name is Precious and she
lives up to the name by acting like a pampered princess.
Two of the others (Asher and Ursa) we bought as a pair from folks who were
moving and "didn't want their new place to smell funny". Those folks are
anal jerks as far as I'm concerned. Asher is a boy and we swear that he has
ADHD and should be on Ritalin..he's got sooo much energy. He's the one who
teaches everyone else new and improved ways of getting into trouble. Ursa
is tame for the most part...but someone trained her to bite at the sound of
a squeaky toy. I have to keep her locked up when the others are playing
with their toys if I have company around...lawsuit city. Otherwise she's as
gentle as a lamb.
The last one (Jake) was obtained when our neighbors were moving to
California (illegal to keep them there).
These rascals have taken over my life these past few years (our bedroom and
den combined are now the "ferret playrooms") and they're spoiled rotten, but
I don't mind a bit. I'm a happy fuzz mom. Hubby won't admit it..but he's
just as in love with them as I am. ;-)
