In 2 weeks we are moving half-an-hour away. It is not a trip we are making
in one go: there will be much back-and-forthing for a day or even two. It
may be disruptive to Avalon.
Any recommendations on whether one should move her and her cage FIRST or
LAST? I am totally undecided. Both venues will be a hive of activity.

We moved about 20 minutes away from our previous location and moved all the
animals when we were finally staying the night at the new place. Seemed to
work out best for us.

Well.. 4 months ago I moved.. and I found.. that Polle was OK with all
the activity as long as he was in his cage (and it was not moved around).
So what I would do is find a place in your current home, where the cage
is not in the way.. and on one of the last trips move the cage to the
new location.
And use the same trick in the new location.. find a place for the cage,
where here you don't have to move it around all the time.
Well.. I have found that Polle don't seam to care much about what
happens around his cage ones he is inside and the door is closed. ;) ..
well sometimes he just sits there and watches the strange humans.. but
other than that I think I could tare down the house around him ;)
