Hello all,
The first heads up I received that things might go our way in the
Water Parks and Wildlife Committee was when our lobbyist, Bob Naylor,
spoke with the Chairman, Joseph Canciamilla. Bob is one of the most
respected lobbyists in the State Capitol, someone who can speak
respectfully to, and be respected by, both sides of the aisle. He's
been one of our most valuable assets in this long hard fight and we
still need his help.
Some of you contributed last year to a fund to help pay for his time
which he bills at a discount to Californians for Ferret Legalization.
Thankfully we've benefited from his help in moving this bill past a
Committee that I frankly thought would kill it.
Now we're out of funds and I need your help once again.
Please help our issue by writing a check of any size to Nielsen
Merksamer and mailing it to my address below. I will forward the
checks to Bob in
Sacramento and he will use the funds to move our bill through the
Assembly and hopefully arrange a meeting with the Governor.
I can't tell you how important his help is! If everyone sent just
$20.00, we'd be able to do our best for this bill so please, send
whatever you can as soon as you can.
