A question for cage builders -

How do you (safely) attach carpet to ramps securely enough so that your
monster weasel cannot rip it off?

Liquid nails and clamps galore - but our ramps are wood. Be sure it's
comletely dry and aired for several days before letting the ferrets on it.

People who have wire ones will have to tell you how they do it with wire.

i used very small plastic tie zip strips. he watched me do it and still to
this day does not know that they are there. I trimmed the ends off so he
would not see them and the zip (lock part) is underneath. so he just goes up
and down the ramp without noticing them. I had to use an awe to punch small
holes thru the carpet to put the ties in.

I don't think I'd use carpet on the ramps. Could you maybe use hockey socks
or something to that extent to cover the ramps? That way it'd be much
easier to replace them when they're soiled?

I used the 2inch wide double sided carpet tape, If you run several strips,
and then stick it on.

I found the good thing is that I could then peel it off after a couple of
months or so, to replace the carpet. You will need to do this, as the small
particles they pick up from the litter tray, seem to get right into the
carpet, and eventually it is easier to replace than clean.
