Took my cat to the vet for his fractured pelvis and seperated tail
(limited bowel and bladder function). The vet decided it's time for the tail
(which just hangs and has no feeling) to be amputated. I left Sugar with
him for the surgery this afternoon. Please inclue Sugar in your prayers,
and he could use all the healing vibes you care to send.

Also, while there Buddy, a ferret, was brought in by his new mum, Susan.
She thinks Buddy ate some white toweling he has as bedding. She noticed the
holes in the toweling yesterday evening around 6:30. Calling the emergency
clinic, they told her to give him babyfood with mineral oil. He was
drinking water, but not eating on his own or pooping. Buddy is stablized
with sub-Q fluids and will have X-rays with possible surgery. Susan and
Buddy need your prayers and healing vibes, too.

I've suggested Susan get Ferrets for Dummies AND to join our online
family, two of the best sources of information and great support. Buddy was
given to Susan at the age of 3 years... he's her first experience with
fuzzbutts.

Thank you for all the vibes, prayers and well wishes. Sugar is home and
doing well. His butt is shaved, and he looks very strange with no tail. I
think the hardest part is going to be keeping him confined.

Buddy the ferret came through his surgery just fine. Yes, there were bits
of toweling blocking up his instestine. He's resting comfortably and will
be going home tomorrow.

Thanks for everything :)

Ruth...
He's used to it, the hubby and I call him 'her' too. Sugar just isn't a
proper name for a boy. He came here with that name and it stuck. Poor
kitty ;)

Thanks Lin...

I wish Buddy was mine, but I think his mum would be upset if I snuck him
home from the vet ;)
