Went out the other night and got the kids some major tubage. A bunch of 4"
PVC drain pipe (the kind with holes) and elbows, tees & couplings. Cut the
pipe into 2' sections and just slip-fit things together so it's easily
rearranged & stored.
Funny thing is, the kids don't seem impressed...they investigated
extensively before entering, but then didn't really seem that interested in
it. They seemed to have more fun hopping over and around it than getting
inside.
Maybe it just has to grow on em'?

I bought the same type of pipe except I got a 4 foot section, and mounted it
to make it a slide, they hardly use it and only 2 of them do when they
decide it's worth thier time...

I got 4 of those Funnel playground kits[1]. I made one near loop around
the top of their cage[2], more like a U going from the rear of one side,
around the front to the rear of the other side. It has 4 points where I
cut holes in the cage to connect it with connectors[3]. I also made a
little thing to go on the floor under and around near the cage with the
remaining pieces and one of the long flexible tunnels[4], but it does
not connect with the cage. At first they didn't really take to either.
They went through it maybe once the first time. Over time they seem to
be growing fond of the one that goes up under the cage with the
flex-tunnel, especially Buster. Priss is more interested in climbing. I
have not really be around enough while there in the cage to see if they
use the tunnel around the top. (They are never in the cage when I'm
around.) I have caught buster in it once or twice.
One tunnel like thing that they love is a small roll of carpet that I
have leaned up in a corner of their play room. It's short carpet with
the good side facing out. It's about 4 foot high. The love to climb up
the outside, perch on top, then go down through the hole in the middle.
Unfortunately it keeps deforming as it doesn't have a tube or anything
inside it to stiffen it, so when the get to the bottom of the inside the
hole is to deformed for them to exit. Last weekend I went by Home Depot
and got a couple sections of 6" diameter PVC pipe hoping to make an
artificial dead tree by gluing some of the carpet to the outside and on
the inside. I have everything but haven't quite figured out how to put
it together yet (the inside piece). I think they'll love it if I ever
get it done.

I have two 10' sections that run around the couch. They used to run around
the thing like there was no tomorrow, now they just use it to sleep in. ;-)

And if your not careful they may use it as a toilet too.
