I almost got another fuzzbutt quite by accident. Yesterday morning
(Easter) My mum got a call from one of our neighbors (I have an
apartment over my mothers house). She asked her if I had lost one of
my kids. Seems a little sable female had crawled into the neighbors
dryer through the exhaust hose from the outside. Mom wasn't sure if it
was one of mine as I hadn't come downstairs yet but she said she would
go over and take a look at it. It wasn't one of mine. Animal Control
was there and asked mom if I'd be willing to adopt the little girl as
he did not want to take her in, in case no one came to claim her and
she had to be destroyed, Something he did not want to see happen. Mom
said she was one of the most loving ferrets she had ever seen, a real
cuddler who was content to fall asleep in your arms. Luckily some
other neighbors saw the Animal Control van and came over. When they
saw the little sable in moms arms they exclaimed "CORGI" seems it was
their little girl who had escaped. Apparently she had been quite sick
and was just getting better when she decided she was well enough to do
some exploring. They said normally she doesn't even like going
outside. The only bad thing that seemd to happen to her during her
adventure was, she was covered nose to tail in dryer lint. On seeing
this her humans just had to ask "So, is that Downey fabric softener!"
