Re: From the Vet - CLICK HERE for the Pet Manual Forum Home Page

That's the sweetest thing. I don't know if my vet does anything like
that or not, but it's a wonderful idea especially if it's not
expensive to do (I wouldn't imagine it is). I might suggest that to
my vet if he/she doesn't do that already for future clients of his.
Maybe when my time comes to let go of one of my snuggles, I'll receive
that same caring treatment.

I would have never thought of it, and definitely didn't think she would
have done something like that for us. IMO, it was kinda pricey to get
such a little animal cremated. We didn't get anything fancy to keep the
ashes in--for now anyway.

Just came from picking up more meds at my vets office. They now have a kit
to do pawprint plaques of any pet you want. Looked pretty cool. $5 each.
Dunno if I'll go for it.........yanno, it's always one of those 'I'll wait
till later' things. I guess I don't want to think about having 'memories'
of them while they are still here :-(* They are nice tho.

How cool. I'm studying to become a vet. If the dream comes true for
me, I too will try to do thoughtful things such as this for clients
and patients. Thanks very much for sharing.

I agree...cremation is very expensive. Our vet was nice enough to waive her
office call fee so that we could afford to cremate George. :) But the bill
still ended up being around $130 (euthanasia plus cremation).
