Yeah, that's normal. Your TAG would normally feed his siblings and friends
this way as well, he's experimenting with adult behavior. With the 'tiel I
wouldn't worry about the yawning unless he's doing it all the time, rather
then in certain situations. If he's only really yawning at you and the
mirror (or nighttime) then I wouldn't worry, if he were yawning all the
time, no matter what was going on, then that could be the sign of a problem.

I thought African greys do not reach sexual maturity until they are
about six or seven years old?
