Jason and Holly Harper
Looks like we'll be headed back to the vet this week. :( He was off pred
for maybe a day or two (we ran out) and when we got him back on, it wasn't
two or three days later that he had more lumps on him again. I've been
working constantly and Jason's been home so he's been letting the kids out
and he noticed Friday that George was having trouble pooping again. I
figured we'd try the carafate and cimetidine again because it cleared up the
problem before. Well he's still not going very well and we've got a new
problem. :( I can feel lumps in the bladder area and below. I'm not sure,
but it almost feels like he's filling up with tumors. I can feel lumps in
his armpit as well. I'm hoping that if we have to open him up that Doc will
let us make payments. This time of the year is a bit of a struggle for us
as it is. So, please think good thoughts for George. He's eating,
drinking, and putting up a fight with his meds so I haven't lost all hope
yet.

Ohhhhhh, poor little George. Hope you can get him in to the vet right away.
This doesn't sound like something you should wait on. It could be that his
bladder is not emptying. Is he peeing? If not, you have a first class
emergency, so be sure to get him in immediately.

<<hugs>> to George and to you guys too. Rough time of the year to have a
sick one.

Bet the vet ups his pred. From the sounds of it,I'd up it today.Call your vet
and ask.Give him laxatone or something similar to help him poop. Most of
all, give that boy lots of loving and snuggles.

He's got an appointment for tomorrow (the soonest they could get us in).
It's breaking my heart though. I've never had a ferret that had this happen
to him. I've gone through two adrenals. I guess when they're sick you can
never be prepared for how torn up you're gonna be. :(

Thanks for the hugs...I'll be sure Georgie gets them. :)

When I called to make an appointment the receptionist asked if he was eating
and drinking and I said yes, and she asked Doc if they should squeeze him in
for today and she said that basically there was nothing she could do for
him. I dunno. I'm just confused and scared for him. He pooped ok
tonight...more and better consistancy and then later on when I gave him
tonights meds it was a smaller stool and yellow. :( I'm feeling hardness
in his throat and lumps in his belly/bladder area. I'm kind of preparing
myself for the worst, but I'm just not ready to say goodbye. :(
