Sukie said she didn't have any objections, so here it is!

Well I'm not "one of your acquaintances"... but you can chalk me up for
the 100% not liberal group. I do not know the background to your
response, as I have not read the article, but I do think saying "any
libertarian would gladly support ferret legalization" is a very broad
statement--and probably not 100% accurate ;)

Well, I happen to know that several other posters here are
card-carrying, terrorist-bashing, Dean & Hillary-can-go-to-hell, Bush
in 2004, Republicans, and damn proud of it.
No offense Brett.

No offense at all! Many of us card-carrying libertarians have a lot in
common with some card-carrying Republicans (especially with
individualists like you, Cap), but I can even get along with a Dean &
Hillary lover as long as they're also ferret lovers.
My goal in posting this was to try to get a sense of the political
sensibilities of my fellow fuzz-lovers, as well as their literary
sensibilities, so I was hoping somebody would contradict my
presumptions. I'm just trying to put together a three-dimensional
picture of the ferret community out of sheer ferret-type curiousity. I
can never be offended by the facts!

I don't *believe* in politicians. I think they're a figment of their own
imaginations.
Does that count?

Being a card carrying Liberal and damned proud of it (look up what the
majority party in Canada is called, at least parties in Canada approach
honesty)- I think that you're completely wrong. Most ferret owners are
not libertarian, rather their politial beliefs spread all over the
political spectrum.

I guess. But, if they only exist in *their* imaginations, how come
