1981 when the military started piss-testing most of the nuke units
(Lance, Pershing, field artillery), became combat non-effective
literally overnight while the drug-duds were chaptered out from
Privates right on up to O-4's. If a CO was disqualified from Nuclear
Surety every single soldier under his command also became disqualified
from Nuclear Surety. CAS sites, and storage sites still needed to have
personnel who could be qualified under NS to pull warhead detail
(guard duty), control, and supervisory inventory, and mait details.
The only units at the time that were combat qualified, with proper
background clearance, and able to be cleared for NS were the Special
ops units because they were cohesive, and could be sent over as an
entire unit with command and control intact. By the time Regan fielded
the Pershing II, and phased out the Lance system, the OSUT Pershing
units were being spun out of Ft. Sill as cohesive units, and we were
able to get back to doing what we did best, training to kill the ****
out of the bad guys.
Lets see now Rock-it-boi, today you have attempted rather lamely to
attack myself through my family. Made some rather moronic claims about
my non-existent kids while I happen to have an active duty son with
3rd ID, and a daughter who will probably be going Marine Aviation.
Speculated on my lack of life, of which I can promise you is far more
fun fulfilling, and interesting than your own. Showed you have a
decided lack of any kind of military history, but in defense of even
an idiot like yourself that's not so unusual. Shown some really nice
people on APF what an ass you are, but again there is nothing unusual
in that either. You've also very loudly proclaimed how virile you are
by the amount of sex you have with your wife. To top it all off you've
been given a small lesson in Regan era, cold-war military history.
The most ironic part of the whole deal is that when it's all said and
done you punked-out yourself Rock-it-boi, with no help from me at all.

so, you're saying a "ranger unit" had control of pershing II's? you're
not only a damned liar but a bad one. the only ranger unit to ever
serve in germany was the 2nd battalion, 75th rangers...which, based on
reporting from many NCOs I've spoken with, didn't include you.

guard as needed in small numbers. By the time the II's were fielded
